I have a friend who, simply put, has been through hell this last year. He is a good man who tried to do the right thing; he tried to save lives. Everything seems to have turned out wrong now. I think he's strong, but even the strongest can only take so much. I wanted to know if there is a spell or something that could make things better. Either help him win his battles, or turn everything around. I know that's generic, but I feel, he feels, that he was on a path and an evil force took him off of it. Thank you for your help.
You're a good person for wanting to help your friend out. I hope this message finds him on a less negative path and his luck already turning around. I would start with a basic cleansing and consecration ritual on him. Modify the wording from my response to Cameron from Fresno, CA to perform this simple ritual. Next I would cleanse (or smudge) his entire home with sage. Start at the lowest level of the home and work your way up to the very top.
Hey! I know I ask a lot of questions! What exactly is the difference between Tarot cards and Oracle cards? Also, is there a way I can cast a circle that works for almost anything? There is one I use from a book but I feel like there may be other ways and I was wondering if you could tell me another way? (And I understand that they may be very similar.)
A standard Tarot deck has 78 cards made up of the Major and Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana has 22 cards (numbered 0 - 21) and typically represents the major emotional milestones we each face throughout our lives. The Minor Arcana is made up of 4 suits, with each suit having 14 cards each and representing the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Oracle cards can be any number of cards, about any subject, and follows no "standards." As for your circle casting question. Please reading my response to Alex from Woodbridge, VA.
What are some ways I can incorporate Wicca into my daily life as to not feel as if I am losing touch?
Dear Tiffany, There are hundreds of ways to enhance your spiritual path... hundreds of ways of connecting with our Lord and lady... hundreds of ways of honoring yourself. There are no limits to how creative you can be. Daily Rituals By performing simple, yet meaningful, daily rituals you can enhance your own spiritual practice. Simple rituals are a way for us to connect with the Lord and Lady on a daily basis. These rituals can be as simple as lighting a candle with the intent of blessing the Divine, burning incense with intent of cleansing away negativity, or carrying a variety of gemstones with you day for a specific purpose. Meal Blessing Taking a moment before eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner is another nice way of bringing a bit of spirituality into your everyday life. These words need not be long and poetic, simply meaningful. Greet the Sun Greet the Sun each morning, even on cloudy days, as a way of greeting the Lord in all His glory. Remember that it is through the masculine Divine, our beloved God, that life is seeded and sustained. It is through His mighty presence that we are blessed.
Greet the Moon Greet the moon each evening, even on the night of the dark moon, as a way of greeting the Lady and all Her beauty. Remember that it is through the feminine divine, our beloved Goddess, that life is created and sustained. It is through Her beautiful presence that we are blessed. Weekly Cleansing of Your Altar Cleaning or cleansing your altar on a weekly or biweekly basis is another way of connecting with your chosen spiritual path. Remember that altars can be decorated for any reason and with any intent such as: honoring of each of the eight Sabbats, or any phases of the moon (don’t forget about the waxing and waning phases), or for specific intentions such as prosperity, love, strength, healing, etc. Maintaining Your Book of Shadows Maintaining your book of shadows by adding your meal blessings, daily rituals, meditations, or correspondences keeps your book of shadows not only up to date, but also a reminder of how far you have come on this path. Sabbat and Esbat Rituals And of course having an Esbat ritual each month and a ritual for each of the eight Sabbats is a surefire way of walking your spiritual path. Try to do something new and different for each ritual that you have. If you can not think of a reason to have a ritual, simply have the ritual in honor of the Divine.
I have been to your store many times, but I never worked up the courage to ask this question. That is, until now since it happened again last night. For the last couple of months, either during dreams or during meditation, I have had some very unnerving scenes play in my head. During my dreams, I have seen myself dressed in nice clothing, a black dress with designs, and only my necklace with the moons. I only wear this outfit for formal times. I see myself walking in an open field while it is snowing. I am suddenly blinded, then I can see again. I see myself on fire, screaming while my pentagram is ripped from my neck. I then wake up. During my meditation, when I am very relaxed, all my thoughts are cleared, but then I see a flash of fire-like colors. I come out of my relaxed state to find myself burning up. I am quite scared. I need help. Is there anything you could think of that might be causing these dreams? Is it maybe a sight into my future? Maybe a curse on me? I fear the worst. Any help would be appreciated. Blessed be.
I'm not sure how to answer your question without a little bit more information from you. 1. The "nice clothing" you're wearing in the dream, are they from the past, are they modern or futuristic? 2. The necklace with the "moons" and the "pentagram" that is ripped from your neck... are they the same necklace (like a pentagram surrounded by moons) or are they two separate necklaces? 3. Is the snow relaxing and peaceful or is it blizzard-like conditions? I highly doubt you are having a premonition about your own death or that you have been cursed... which, believe it or not, is a GOOD thing. Dreams are a way for our subconscious mind to relay messages to our conscious mind. Snow usually represents Water, the element of our emotions, and Fire is the element of our passion. As for your meditations, it doesn't surprise me that you are having run-offs from your dreams into your meditations, since meditation puts you into an almost sleep-like state of relaxation. Answer the above three questions for me and let's see if we can decipher your dream a bit more.
Can you make me a vampire? I have searching for someone to change me. I have good reasons for wanting this. I have hurt my back and can no long help my family. I wish to be able to walk and work again without pain. I have been wanting this for a very long time, searching for eight years now. Please can you help me, I beg you.
OMGs... for the love of all that is holy, please stop watching TV and movies. Immortal vampires aren't real!
I would like to know if I will become a female and have a female body for the rest of my life. Also, who will do the operation on me and where? Thank you very much. Help me, please.
I'm so sorry honey, but I just don't know. I'm sure if you work hard, save a lot, and go through the proper channels you'll become the woman you want to be. But please don't go through some hack doctor!
I want to introduce my daughter to a more spiritual understanding of Wicca, but we both agree that using the term witch may be distracting when she speaks about her spiritual path with other (less than Wiccan) friends. Would using the term Wise Woman or Elder be acceptable? Or is using the term witch a matter of pride within the Wiccan community and we should just show our "true colors"?
Many witches do find a lot of pride in calling themselves Witch, Wiccan, or Pagan. I do feel it would be inappropriate to have your daughter refer to herself as a "Wise Woman" or an "Elder" since both of these terms are generally reserved for those who have been practicing and serving the community for a number of years. There is no reason for you to speak about your religious beliefs with non-Wiccans until you are absolutely comfortable with the idea of others knowing you are a Witch/Wiccan/Pagan. Namaste and good luck~
Greetings, Is it possible to reverse a "Swifting of Energy" spell, which was used to prevent someone from harassing me? It has caused all who participated many problems. A circle was not cast when this spell was done, and I'm wondering if some malevolent energy was picked up as a result.
Dear Buck, I would suggest you do another Swifting of Energy spell, with a circle cast, and this time direct the negative energy currently surrounding you into your original intent. I'm not positive the "malevolent energy" which was picked up came from the spell itself or if it came by the mindset of one of the participants. Let me know how the second spell turns out!
I have been trying to find a place in the Virginia Beach area to take classes. Would you know of any?
You can attend Tradition of the Witches Circle classes via Oovoo online from anywhere! You can find the current class schedule on the 13 Magickal Moons website. To find pagans in your area, use a fantastic website called The Witches' Voice. This site has listings for local solitaries, groups, and events. All you have to do is search by your state and city. Good luck finding a group to work with!
I suspect I may be an empath. I am highly sensitive and in tune with the emotions of others as well as their pain. I can sense even the slightest pain in others. Recently I have had issues with anger and fatigue. I am worried I may be absorbing negative energy from others. Is there anything I can do to help with this?
Dear Witches, My name is Ashley-Rose, and I'm kind of new to this. I have always been spiritual. I've just always felt connected to something more than just the "normal" things people do in life, like there is something more. Sometimes I get these really bad feelings out of nowhere. Sometimes good feelings as well. Nothing upsetting has gone on lately to make me cry, but over the past few days I've just felt this extremely strong urge to look up witchcraft, natural witches, and so on and so forth. Like I had to. And I've been crying and getting these terrible pains in my head like someone is getting really hurt... I don't know what it means or if I'm just crazy. I don't have a direct question, but more just need help to explain what this could be please.
Sounds to me like you might be an empath, a person capable of feeling other people's emotions. Read the question from Nicholl from Woodbridge for some suggestions to help you control your abilities.
I am a new Wiccan. I've always had the same beliefs and practiced some of the same practices. I've just been spiritually pushed to make it official now. I am waiting for Scott Cunningham's book to arrive in the mail to learn more and waiting for 101 classes to start at 13 Magickal Moons. In the meantime, I want to attend Tea Night and add books to my library as references. Specifically, I am wanting to find out what spell book(s) you would recommend for any witch to have on his or her bookshelf. Sorry for asking two questions in a row! What is the best way to find your Wiccan name? I have read so many different things online, and a lot of the info clashes with one another. So I wanted to find out what the Witch believes to be the best way to obtain a Wiccan name. Thank you! :)
Two great spell books to have on your shelf are both by Dorothy Morrison. One is called the The Craft Companion: A Witch's Journal and the other is Utterly Wicked: Curses, Hexes & Other Unsavory Notions. Your magickal name can be inspired by anything. A few examples would be: gemstones, herbs, moon phases, animals, myths, mythical creatures, Gods, Goddesses, elements, etc. The possibilities are endless. One great way to start finding a magickal name is to think about what qualities you want to have and look up what correspondences fit with those qualities. Let me know if you find a magickal name!
