I read in one of Cunningham's books that in the old days, people who were killed for witchcraft were promised drugs to help ease their passing, from other witches. Is this so? It's a comfort to think that some of them at least were helped along, but I can't find any information about this.
Many "bargains" were struck during those dark times simple to gain a "confession" out of those accused of witchcraft. But you won't find any information because it wasn't something people discussed back then.
