Hi! I am super new to witchcraft and am in the process of finding my alignments. Marion Weinstein's book, Earth Magic, seems to suggest that one can only align themselves with five deities. Is this correct, or can I have as many alignments as I would like? Thanks!
If "alignments" means having a patron God and/or Goddess, then it is usually wise to only work with a handful at a time. Having a "patron" God or Goddess simply means that you have a very close and bonded relationship with a specific deity/deities. You cannot have a that kind of relationship if you have 10 or 14 patrons.
Hello. Ever since I was young, I've been hearing voices of people calling me. Sometimes I know them and sometimes I don't. It started when I was eight years old. I was very sick and I saw people putting on white in the room. Now am 20, but at times I hear someone calling my name when nobody is around. Sometimes I hear knocks on a door, but when I open it, no one is there. And when I cast spells, they don't work. What do you think this means? Please help.
It sounds as if you are hearing spirits who are trying to communicate with you. Next time you hear someone calling your name, trying answering back. Remain quiet for a few minutes to see if you get a response. It may take a few tries, but you should begin to hear or sense something. As for why your spells aren't working, the answer is I don't know. What kinds of spells are you performing? Are you casting a circle? Do you have an actual need for casting specific spells?
Hi, I know I ask a lot of questions, but these two things have been bugging me for years. The first thing is that about two years ago, I had a weird dream. I was naked, and there was a young man about my age (I think he had blond or light brown hair) with me in my basement. He said he would make love to me after he took a shower. As he was showering and the basement became warm and steamy, I was reading a book called How to Meet Your True Love (or Soul Mate) at an Amusement Park. I woke up before he was done showering, and I haven't been to an amusement park since. The second thing is, I was wondering if it's possible for a person to be a water elemental. I feel comfortable in long baths and showers, I don't mind rain, and I often align myself with the cups suit of the tarot. I also intake much more fluid than solid food.
Thank you! ^^
Well hello there Ms. Kayla, didn't I just answer a question from you? ;-) Why haven't you been to an amusement park since this dream?! It sounds like you could meet your possible soul mate there. It sounds as if you are very connected with the element of water. I don't think you are a water elemental since that would make you a mermaid - and they don't exist!
Is there a spell to make my husband's balls shrivel up like tiny golden raisins? I'm not worried about karmic backfire because I am already scheduled to remove my lady-parts anyway. He's a good husband, but the bastard is just so damn horny! Sometimes he goes around the house saying, "here pu$$y, pu$$y," and we don't even have a cat! I've caught him in the shower several times, once in a closet, and even twice in the yard now. He says he's masturbating, but I know he's lying. That bastard is banging the nether-regions of an other-planar creature. I was a ghost in a past life, so I know what I see is the truth. Apparently incorporeal relations are not considered under extra-marital affairs in this state! So I really need something to keep him faithful.
OMF'ing Gods... this might be the funniest/craziest question/story I have ever read. You have given all of us a fantastic laugh! Historically speaking, salt petre is said to render a man impotent and it's rumored that the Navy used to put salt petre in the eggs when the men were out to sea.
VERY VERY IMPORTANT! My best friend and I are witches. He did a past life spell and when he looked in the mirror, there wasn't anything replacing his face like it's supposed to. Instead, his face looked like it had been wiped off. He and I were and are very freaked out. What does it mean and why didn't it work?
My best guess would be that his subconscious mind blocked him from seeing his past self in order to protect him.
I'll try to keep a long story short, as I know you've got a blog and store to run as well, but basically here's the situation: Throughout my relationship with my ex-boyfriend, I was plagued with nightmares about an old woman with no face. Not that she didn't have a face, but that it was always covered or hidden from me. The dreams would be totally normal dreams - walking in a park, studying for finals, memories of camping trips, etc. - but she would always be present and it made the situation *terrifying.* Everything about her felt dark and malevolent and hungry, and I felt that she was hunting/waiting for someone in the dream, and the one constant figure in them was him. I told a few members of my prayer circle about it and two of them did a meditation with me. They did end up seeing her, and what they saw was that she had two faces, and that one was young and pretty and another was the horrible veiled figure. They felt as threatened as I had, and immediately after seeing her pulled away from the meditation and we closed the circle on the pleadings of one of the practitioners. I had no idea what to think about the young face though, as she'd only ever appeared to me (and by this point she'd been in my house and outside of it a few times, as well as watching me in other places) with the veil and old figure. I had forgotten, though, that he had a spirit in his house that always appeared as a young, pretty woman to him. I had never seen her, but in his house I had felt calm every place but his room, which is where he said she hung out mostly. He couldn't go into his basement (where a member of the family had their room) due to feeling as though something was pushing him out, and he felt this way throughout the rest of the house on a slightly lessened level. The only place he was willing to be was his room, and every woman who enters it finds it stifling and uncomfortable, though men seem to be just fine. When I came over I would always leave feeling sick or weakened, and once when I was there I became so physically ill that I was very nearly put in the hospital by it. But I didn't really make the connection between the young and old women until recently. The spirit in his house has been there all through his life. It's followed him from Florida across the country, to every home he lived in, and finally resides here with him. It has taken his possessions such as clothing and decks of cards or objects he frequently touched/used. We remain friends, despite our past as being in a relationship. We weren't together for long enough to not come out of it as friends, and the feelings we have toward each other are positive and respectful. And he is a good man. Even when I was still healing from our parting of ways, I always had the utmost respect for him because he is such a pure, innocent, kind person. But whenever this cloud of dark is hanging over him, he gets angry, depressed, and irrational. He was always tired and worn out, and sometimes got sick for no reason. His family is worried about him, as are his friends, including me. No one is really sure what to do, though, as we're not sure what it is. Someone told us about shtrigas (spirits that would feed on the souls of children) and said it might have attached itself to him when he was an infant. But all we're really sure of is that it's hurting him and we don't want to see anything bad happen to him because we all care about him. Do you have any suggestions on what can be done?
Has anyone done a banishing for this spirit? Read Brittney from Las Vegas for more information on banishing a spirit.
Hi. I am not a witch myself and I haven't had any practice with witchcraft in my entire life. I was wondering: I recently met someone who practices witchcraft, and I was thinking of asking him for help (a separation spell between my friend and someone who is manipulating her, specifically). However, I'm not sure if this is rude or uncustomary to do. Advice?
It is pretty rude to ask a Witch to perform a spell for you, especially someone you haven't known for long.
I recently purchased a poppet for healing myself. I have numerous back problems and just had my second surgery a week ago. I am only 30 and have a lot of, hopefully, healthy life left in me. I just need a little extra help. Can you please give me any advice on healing spells to do with my poppet and/or exactly what I should do with it when it is finished? I am still relatively new to Wicca and could use any advice you could give. Also, I don't know if you do anything like healing circles or prayers, but any of that would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!
Before you sew your poppet closed, make sure you add herbs for healing. Some great choices for this are St. John's Wort, lavender, chamomile, and/or rose. You can also add gemstones like bloodstone, blue lace agate, amethyst, and/or onyx. Be sure to add some of your hair or nail clippings as well. Once the poppet has been sewn shut, you can also glue on a corresponding gemstone for each chakra. After your poppet is ready to use (or heal), remember that the poppet is a representation of YOU, so treat it with love and respect. Give it Reiki, surround it with healing gemstones and herbs (see above), or meditate with it in the palm of your hands.
This guy asked me to let him come down to pick up eggs. I said sure, then he said make sure that no one has touched them but only him. Why would someone want me to let them come to my home to pick up eggs that have not been touched
I'm assuming you are talking about chicken eggs. This guy could be a germaphobe or he may not have wanted anyone else's energy on his eggs. Eating someone else's energy with your breakfast eggs could make for a bad day!
I have been studying witchcraft for two to three years now, but have had the empathy since I was five years old. How can I know for sure if I'm a true witch, and how do I make my visions and empathy stronger?
If you practicing Wicca/Witchcraft then you are a "real" witch. Being a Witch is something you feel in your heart and soul. It is not something someone can tell you are or are not. Read the question from Nicholl from Woodbridge for some suggestions to help you control your abilities.
I make salt and sugar scrubs and give them away for the holidays; should I be concerned for those that have diabetes or high blood pressure? Is it possible that the sugar scrub could penetrate the pores and effect their blood sugar?
Although the sugar/salt scrubs will penetrate their pores, it won't actually enter into their bloodstream enough to effect diabetes or high blood pressure.
Could you tell me what the moon means when it has a circle around it and what it means when it's a full moon?
Generally, a ring around the moon is a warning sign. When the moon is full, it means the energy Earth feels from the Moon is at its highest. This is a great time to perform ritual and spell work. Witch
Hello there. I really enjoy your blog. Thank you for helping so many folks out. I've been Wiccan since I was eleven and I take my spirituality very seriously. I've always had fair luck with spell crafting, improving as I got older. Over the summer, I cast a binding spell. And I know this probably sounds awful. But the person I bound was a (now former) lover of mine who was abusive, and who was also making life hard for others. It seems to have been effective. I gained pretty immediate benefit from it and haven't been impacted by him anymore- not directly, anyway. I still have plenty of baggage from that to sort out. The thing is, I feel like I've been increasingly bogged down, I guess, since I bound him. I didn't take it lightly, and I don't ever plan to do something like that again and wouldn't have done it in the first place if it wasn't something I felt seriously needed to be done for myself and for others around me. He was literally destroying the people around him, me most of all- it was a pretty dire situation, though I still sometimes worry that it makes me a bad person for acting as I did. But I feel like I'm stagnating emotionally and in a practical sense (I'm having so much trouble completing coursework or even getting up to get food) and I can't help but wonder if binding him had something to do with it. I've been considering undoing the binding but I really don't want him to hurt me or anyone else anymore and I worry that I risk letting that happen if I unbind him. I also don't know if it's depression or some other non-magical issue (though I suppose it's always possible that things are compounding on top of each other). I've been dealing with depression since childhood, though, and it doesn't usually keep me from functioning as much as it has been. I guess it also serves mentioning that he was also a witch, though I don't know much about his practice or anything. I briefly entertained the thought that maybe he took some precaution that's biting me in the ass now. Is there anything you can suggest about this situation?
I'm going to answer this question with the assumption that you are no longer with him! Performing the binding kept you and others safe, so I doubt the karmic slap would be very severe. Depression can (and often does) worsen the older we get. Go back to your doctor and have yourself rechecked or possibly have your medications reevaluated. Spiritually, perform a ritual or spell to help you feel more connected with the Divine and to give you more motivation.
I would like to thank you so much for the time you spend reading and answering all of our questions. I have learned a lot from them. I am new to the craft and will be attending classes when Witchcraft 101 begins. In the meantime, I have been wondering just how one prays. Growing up Christian, I've always used the "Dear God" and "In Jesus' Name, Amen." What is the proper way to open and close a prayer? I want to always be respectful to our God and Goddess. Thanks so much and blessed be!
I'm so happy you are learning new thing by reading this blog!! When it comes to praying to our beloved Lord and Lady, it's important to be respectful and intimate. Here's an example: "Good evening blessed Lord and Lady. I feel so lost right now and I really need your guidance. Please help me to be the person I am meant to be and help me make the the right choices in my life. Namaste and blessed be."
