Scott from Bealeton, VA

Merry Meet! I happen to have a decent amount of fresh sage from my garden, but an experiment in burning that proved to be horrid and catastrophic. Obviously, I learned since than that dry sage is the best to burn for those purposes. With that known, is there a way I can dry the fresh sage that can eventually resemble dry sage bundles commonly burned?

Dear Scott,

LOL... many of us have had the burning of fresh sage incident!

Making your own sage bundle is actually pretty easy to do. Grab a bunch of fresh sage leaves and stems and gather them into the form/shape of a sage bundle. Starting at the bottom, wrap cotton string tightly around the bundle, moving towards top and back down again. Tie the two ends together. Hang upside down for two to four weeks until completely dried.

Let me know how they turn out!
